Residents using Moss Lane will have often experienced the road being flooded near the junction with Forest Road and Capitol Close.
The inadequate drainage system was unable to cope with the volume of water during wet weather, and this was made worse because some of the drains were blocked by tree roots.
We have been pressing for the Council to take action to improve the drainage, and residents will have seen work being done in the run up to Christmas. More work is planned after the Christmas/New Year break.
We hope that the installation of improved drains, more drainage gullies and clearance of the root blockages will lead to a big improvement in the situation.
Apologies to those held up by the road works, but we think the improvement should be worth it.
