I was horrified to learn that Bolton Wanderers had signed a shirt sponsorship deal with the payday loan company,  QuickQuid.            

Bolton Wanderers has always prided itself on being a family orientated, community football club. By agreeing to this deal, many Wanderers fans will believe that the club is endorsing use of this payday loan company, which charges interest rates of around 1730% APR.

Many people using such Companies find that they become trapped in increasing levels of debt, often borrowing more to repay earlier loans. I believe that use of such companies is a contributory factor to increasing levels of poverty, and that this impacts mainly on the poorest in our town.

As a season ticket holder for many years I feel let down by the club and written to the Chairman to express my disagreement with what has been done.
